MacKenzie Kieft

Lab Assistant
BS in Environmental Studies

MacKenzie has always been interested in science and more specifically Earth science, so when choosing a major at the University of Washington she decided to choose Environmental Studies to learn all different aspects of the Earth and its environment.

During her final year at UW she interned with the Environmental Protection Agency in their Air, Waste and Toxics department where she got to learn about toxic substances, most specifically Lead, and even created a SOP for the EPA to locate Lead hotspots in Washington.

From that experience she decided that a job that dealt with environmental toxins was the right path, to help create a cleaner and healthier Earth, so Seattle Asbestos Test became a perfect fit. Through previous jobs she has become quite good at multitasking and is eager to learn more about asbestos to become a real asset to the team.

MacKenzie enjoys both playing and watching sports, cooking and spending time with family and friends. MacKenzie earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington.
