Cost of Testing
Following is our pricelists for homeowners arranged by type of services, turnaround time and service area. The first table shows the price per material for samples that are delivered or mailed to our lab. The second table shows our service charge for coming to your home to perform on-site services including taking samples from your home, conducting an air monitoring service, or doing an AHERA inspection.

Price listed is per material. A sample submitted to the lab is subdivided into materials and each material is analyzed separately. It is so because the sample may not homogeneous in color and texture, and one sample may contain multiple materials, so separate test must be conducted on each material according to the EPA analytical procedure.
Examples of Material Counting for Common Samples
Sheet vinyl - Two materials (material 1: vinyl, material 2:backing and mastic combined)
Popcorn ceiling - One or two materials (material 1: paint coating, material 2: foamy interior). Taking a minimum of three samples are recommended by EPA.
Flooring tile - Two materials (material 1: tile, material 2:mastic)
Vermiculite (Zeonite) - One material
Wall board - Two materials (material 1: Paint with texture combined, material 2: gypsum board with paper combined).
Roofing material - It varies with type of roofing. In general, each type of shingle is one material. Silver coating is a separate material. Tar paper is a separate material.

Refund or invoice showing additional charge will be sent to the homeowner if the payment sent with the samples are different from the actual costs.
