Cost of Testing

Following is our pricelists for homeowners arranged by type of services, turnaround time and service area. The first table shows the price per sample for samples that are delivered or mailed to our lab. The second table shows our service charge for coming to your home to perform on-site services including taking samples from your home, conducting an air monitoring service, or doing an AHERA inspection.








Price of Sample Testing for Homwowners

Price listed is per layer or material. A sample submitted to the lab is subdivied into layers or materials and each layer or material is analyzed separately.

Examples of Layer/Material Counting for Common Samples

Sheet vinyl - Three layers (vinyl, backing and mastic)

Popcorn Ceiling - Two to three layers (paint coating, and foamy interior; texture may present in some cases). Taking a minimum of three samples are recommended.

Flooring tile - Two layers (tile and mastic)

Vermiculite (Zeonite) - One layer

Wall Board - Three to Four layers

If homeowners have difficulty in determining number of layers in a sample, they are encouraged to call our lab at 425.673.9850, or 425.861.1111 to clarify. Refund or invoice showing additional charge will be sent to the homeowner if the payment sent with the samples are different from the actual costs.
