Walls or accessories installed on them may contain asbestos in many ways. Samples should be taken and tested for presence of asbestos when replacing and discarding walls. Sanding, scraping, or drilling these wall surfaces may release asbestos into the air. Walls can be divided into two categories by their position relative to the house, interior and exterior. The following are description about where asbestos may be in the exterior and interior walls.
Exterior walls

panel beneath window
roofing felt and coating to metal wall cladding
Interior Walls/Panels
