AIHA PAT Proficiency for PCM
Seattle Asbestos Test participates in Industrial Hygiene Proficiency Analytical Testing (IHPAT) Program for its PCM analysis.
The Proficiency Analytical Testing (PAT) Program is designed to assist a laboratory to improve its analytical performance by providing samples on a quarterly basis, evaluating the results, and providing a report on how well the laboratory performed so the laboratory¡¯s analytical competence is tested.
If the laboratory fails the PAT test, it is informed and the results recorded.
Since its participation in the program, Seattle Asbestos Test has passed every round of test with all A (acceptable) results. A closer look at the ¡°Z¡± score, which show how a laboratory's performance in relation to all the other labs participating, indicates that Seattle Asbestos Test performed better than 90% of the labs.
